Day Opportunities
Do you wish to meet new friends, have some fun, have a chat, have lunch? Then our day opportunities may be for you.
We have four centres across the City of Plymouth that can provide such caring services. If you wish we can even pick you up with our minibus service. On sunny days we even go out for a picnic or a pub lunch, or the Christmas pantomime.
About our four centres:
Having four centres across the city allows us to cater for all your needs and locality. Our River View centre and our William Venton Day Centre caters for people with different stages of dementia. All our centres are open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), with one centre having a Sunday service. Our River View centre is open 7 days a week. All our centres offer a wide range of high quality day opportunities, freshly cooked wholesome meals in a friendly supportive atmosphere.
All our centres are equipped with hairdressing facilities which are very reasonably priced and we have a visiting chiropody service and other activies such as Tai Chi.
All our staff are trained and have many years of experience caring for the older person. Transport is available throughout the week, including our own minibus fleet equipped for use by disabled people.
Day Guests are funded by their local authority, or can pay privately.
