Active Ageing Centre

We have two Active Ageing Centres in Plymouth (Elspeth Sitters House, The Barbican and William Venton Centre, Plymstock). These centres provide a place where people can meet others who have similar interests. It is through these centres that you can book into our varied activities programme, or simply drop in for a drink, snack or one of our home cooked lunches.

We also hold an information and advice surgery and various workshops:

On certain days of the week we hold specialist surgeries for the older person (an appointment is required). These include: Legal Advice (20 minutes free before charges apply), guidance on money matters, benefits & pensions advice. We also hold various workshops including falls prevention, stroke prevention, healthy eating, home safety etc.
